When I was home I took advantage of every chance I got to stare at the stars. And living in the (well, our) city is that chickens aren't allowed. We can't even have the chance to worry if they're too loud. Our one day goal: acreage!

(I love the comment that a dairy smells like home. Even though it does, I still don't like that smell. My mom felt the same way about the stinky sugar factory-- home!)Deidrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01181514421028402144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3234790858142513224.post-66163596996533949112010-11-08T03:00:50.521-08:002010-11-08T03:00:50.521-08:00I love these posts side by side and wish I was the...I love these posts side by side and wish I was there. We weren't farmers but we had neighbors who were and I could drive for miles and the only buildings I saw were houses...mostly I saw corn, cotton, alfalfa or sorghum.

Yesterday we drove by a dairy that's only a few miles from our house and the kids were complaining about the smell. I laughed and said, "What smell? That smells like home! A few of my best friends lived on dairies." Thanks for the reminder of good times!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08027526519270538794noreply@blogger.com
