We borrowed a little Charlie Brown tree and I was just sick of hoping it wouldn't fall over so I took it down. I forgot you take yours down so soon. Great job holding out. I need some of your organizational skills here! Thanks so much as well for the gift! Ty and Michelle delivered it 2 days ago! I've never even considered taking it down right after Christmas. Growing up it always came down on my birthday (New Years) or the day before, but sometimes my mom and dad would cut the top off and put the small top of the tree up in my room as my own birthday tree.

Now I leave it up unil Jan 5th which is Twelfth Night and the traditional last day of Christmas before King's Day on the 6th (this is my erudite acdemic excuse for prolonging the lovely lights as long as I can and one of the few truly useful things I gained from studying medieval lit.)Emma Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05445947251876802806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3234790858142513224.post-28593325486569659842010-12-28T22:18:02.776-08:002010-12-28T22:18:02.776-08:00Our tree made it to the 27th this year. This yea...I take them down on the 26th every year. This year I really wanted to take it down on Christmas afternoon but I was tired. We made it to TWO days after Christmas this year too--the 26th was a Sunday!! :-) I LOVE putting up the decorations, but I HATE having the house cluttered a day longer than necessary!! My family always left stuff up until New Years, too. It just makes me bonkers, so down it goes. Eli really freaked out and "didn't want Christmas to be over." It's just what kids do, but don't tell Grace I said that... ;)

love you!Whidgethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12955663755994838839noreply@blogger.com
