 A look at the Payne family September 2020

Eliza:  I had a great birthday on the 19th.

Kathryn:  I'm getting really good at reading and writing.
This is my birthday present to Eliza.

Michelle:  They call me Coach Payne

Ty:  I enjoyed helping Eliza open and assemble her robots on her birthday.

masks.  Especially Calvin.

August 2020

A representation of our family in the month of August:

Afton:  Waiting to see if my building is strong enough.

Eliza:  I built upon a firm foundation (Helaman 5:12)

Kathryn:  Tonight we learned about building on the solid
foundation of Christ, so that Satan's whirlwinds
 (blow-dryers) can't know us down.

       Calvin: I tried on my new wetsuit today. 
My parents got it so maybe I won’t hate the water as much 
on our upcoming trip since I won’t be as cold. 
But I think it’s a great fashion statement. 
I wore it all day with a few brief breaks to air out.

   Michelle:  We’ve been slowly introducing different aspects of homeschool 

over the last couple weeks.  Today we did our second science lesson 

about the different states of water.

Ty:  We have to check on Calvin nightly now to make sure he doesn’t spend the

night on the floor with the light on. At least he fell asleep 12 inches 

from the door instead of right in front of it today.

My diploma came today! This online masters wasn’t always the

most fulfilling or easy, but with Michelle’s and the kids’ help, 

we got it done. Go Falterrajons!

Ty - I’ve spent the week in Niger and Mali moving French troops all the way to Timbuktu.

Michelle - Afton’s turn to stay up 15 extra minutes, and she chose to watch part
of an episode of Relative Race together.

Afton, since Mom won’t let me use her makeup,
I made some myself out of sidewalk chalk and water.

Eliza - We had a fun time playing at the park today.

Kathryn - Mom didn’t notice me napping for a few minutes after coming into the room.

Calvin - I was a bigger helper stirring this
delicious curry when it was on the stove.
