SPT--Love . . . is a Verb

(Thanks, Lelly, for the SPT Love challenge.)

two of the eight handlings

Cali wanted to make her wedding announcements. Even when I reminded her there was only four weeks until the wedding. Even when I reminded her she works full-time. Even when I reminded her that each announcement would be handled at least eight times through production. Even when I reminded her we were talking hundreds not ten. Good for Cali for holding tight to what she wanted, because the last two days have been spent handling those invitations with her—from shopping for the paper to watching her design them to helping her put them together. She only called me her slave once and asked if she was bride-zilla twice. What a great time spent laughing and visiting with her and if she ever doubts my love for her I will remind her of the time she decided to make her wedding announcements.

What a great mom you are. Good luck with them. They look beautiful, which I knew they would with all yours and Cali's talents and creativity.

That's a huge undertaking if each one must be handled 8 times! What a sweet project for the two of you to work on together.

Oh what a perfect example of love!
Only a mother's love.

That last sentence -- I love it. What a great thing to have on the record!

Very neat post! I am so happy for Cali. She may have been surprised but I don't think many of us at Easton were shocked by the news. She didn't mention in her blog that the wedding is in 4 weeks. Oh my goodness. That is not much time. Good luck!

That is indeed an act of love. I'm so excited for you and Cali.

A four week engagement? Wow! I am guessing you may be a little busy this month.

Wow! You two are amazing - especially with only 4 weeks to go but I'm sure you'll be able to get them done. I remember just addressing all of our envelopes and the task that was. A handmade touch is so lovely and worth it though.

Jane! I'm completely at your disposal and would feel completely honored to help! I will bug you until the very day of the reception to help, so you best be coming up with something for me to do.

Very cute invites by the way!

Jane, as we already knew, you are a fabulous mother. But, you have fabulous kids. It's really a chicken/egg type thing, isn't it? Are you fabulous because you have been the mom to fabulous kids, or are have they turned out fabulous in part because of your fabulousness?? I vote the latter, but either way, it has sure worked splendidly for you.

PS - I love the announcements. I am like Cali with surprises, and when she told me she had a BIG one for me, I was a bit apprehensive of setting my sights too high. She blew them out of the water.
