52 Blessings—♫♪♫

I’m headed back to 52 Blessings for my Sunday posts because I’ve missed them. I loved writing about the little things with which the Lord blesses my life. When I find a quotable quote to tack on, sometimes I’ll do that too.

It doesn’t matter whether it is a folk song, jingle, ballad, hymn or anthem, with words or strictly instrumental, I love uplifting music. Thanks to Rachel Christensen, my piano teacher, after seven years I can find a beat (while we played she tapped it out with her pencil on the side of the piano until we found it). However, it appears ability has little to do with enjoyment because I don't sing or play well, in fact I'm fairly musically illiterate, but I know enough to know that I would be robbed of much spirituality, pleasure and happiness if there was no music. The fact that someone invented the violin just makes it that much better.
What instrument do you like to hear?
Did you appreciate this song?

I love the music notes in the title-- pretty cool.

I, too, am musically stunted. My mom paid for too many years of piano lessons for how little I got from them. (Although I can read music enough to follow along in ward choir.) I love the cello.

I am surrounded by music. Glenn is sitting here as I type, tapping out the beat. What you lacked, he got in triplicate!!!!! I like to listen to mello piano music, and Glenn likes to hum out the base in
EVERY tune that comes down the pike. (kind of annoying actually)
He likes to listen to the bass fiddle, he learned to play it by ear when he was at Ricks. He played and sang in a "hootenany group". Famous man.

I may biased, but I love the bassoon. It's not one of the more popular instruments, but when I am able to pick it out in a song, it just brings back great memories. And I loved the song you chose - I think I like it better than the original.

I love music... its a big part of my life. I love string instruments and have always wanted to learn how to play the violin or the cello or something! I still might one day :) I really enjoyed the song.

love the notes in the title

your post struck a chord with me (get it?)
I can't imagine my life without music. I have a playlist for every part of my life!
Birthing my babies playlist, putting them to bed playlist, my running playlist, my calm down before dinner playlist even when my grandmother was passing we played music and sang to her.
I attended state choir with my daughter last weekend and just sat and cried as the director talked about how music lives in us, and we carry it wherever we go. Another presenter asked everyone to turn to their partner and say why music was so important to them. It was beautiful and I felt so grateful to be there with my daughter.
I LOVE MUSIC!

I can't imagine life without music. I am LOVING this song. It is so peppy and upbeat and I love that I know the words so I can sing along in my head.

I love the piano. I love a good acoustic guitar. I love unique remakes of songs.

I am glad you are doing your 52 posts again, they are always so enjoyable!

I loved that song.

I am musically inept. I love to sing, but those around me do not love for me to sing. I was an average clarinet player, and even lesser keyboard player. I quit band becaue it was the only class I was getting a B in, and I didn't EVER forsee getting an "A".

I love to hear all kinds of music. I wish I loved to hear Chance play the guitar, but we are not there yet. I am hopeful someday we will be. Colton on drums can be a little trying as well . . .

I have no musical ability except for appreciation and enthusiasm but I really work those two things.

Love this post...now that I have kids I tend to enjoy the silence more but there used to be a time in my life when music was like breathing for me. I used to play the piano for a couple hours a day. I miss my days of symphony and choir and I really love all kinds of great music. I love to listen to Jeff on the acoustic guitar (he has taught me all sorts of great old folk songs).

The right song will convey emotion (and the Spirit) quicker than any other medium, in my opinion.

Hey -- how did you get those music notes in your title??

I love love love music. I've been singing as long as I can remember and playing piano since I was six. I love to hear the piano, acoustic guitar, strings -- especially cello. But my ultimate favorite is a good vocal. Actually multiple vocals, blended in fabulous harmony. ahhhh.
