March Photo Challenge – Feet.

Ray often quips that Levin has my feet.  There are definitely some strong resemblances - his are thick and mine are thick, his are wide and mine are wide, he wears boy's shoes and sometimes I have to wear men's shoes, his toes look like little Vienna sausages and my toes look like little Vienna sausages, he curls his toes and I curl mine, and I swear Ray once said something about them both looking like bear pads, but now he says we both have sprinter's feet.

But that's where the resemblances end because Levin's feet are cute and mine are not, mine are calloused and his are not.

This afternoon I donated blood and the phlebotomist told me to take it easy the rest of the day, I think she meant for me to put my feet up so the blood would run back to my heart.  I thought those were the kindest instructions, so I bought a pizza, came right home, changed my clothes, and as soon as I do the supper dishes will comply.  I must, for even Abe Lincoln suggests it:  "Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm."

Did you get your grandma's feet?
Are your feet on the ground or in the air tonight?

I don't have my grandma's feet but I do have my grandpa's. They are bumpy and boney and I used to hate them. But, now I realize that it is kind of fun to know that I have the same feet as my grandpa.

That is a fun question, I am going to post the answer on my blog, because it is too long to post here.

Levin's feet are certainly adorable. Little, bitty things are always cuter than the full-sized versions! I don't know about having anyone's feet, but I certainly got my grandma's big hands! And I love them.

Your feet are pretty cute. I have what my husband affectionately calls, “tree climbing toes.” I swear, they are triple the length of yours. I’d take your vienna sausages anyway:) I don’t know where they came from. I’ll have to inspect the grandmothers’ feet someday.

Love that you followed instructions and took it easy...you deserve it! I admire your hard work and ability to still be able to let your hair down and relax and just have a great time. As far as the feet go, my brother thinks I have Shrek toes...so pretty much hideous feet...my husband thinks my feet are cute. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself:)

Oh this post means so much more (and is much funnier) after 3 more people chimed in. Levin's feet are darling. And I think you're a good sport!

I have short fat toes that must resemble my dads. My mom has long skinny toes that look like fingers, weird.

I have no idea where my feet came from - I don't know anyone whose feet are as wide and difficult to fit as mine! (Although, to be fair, they weren't always this way. They widened with each pregnancy.)

I love the advice to take it easy for the rest of the day! That's how I feel after I get my Tuesday knee shots - an excuse to sit down and put my feet up with an ice pack!
