I suppose I could have included in today’s blessing decomposing forest foliage, crude oil, refineries, pipelines, distributors, gas stations, and cashiers, but I’ll just sum it up with gas. By my rough calculations it saved my feet at least 410, 216 steps this week. I’m very grateful for the blessings that come from gasoline.
How many miles of walking do you figure gas saved you this week?

Not as many steps as it saved me over Christmas break ;-)
Whew - I just saw the title in Google Reader and got a little worried :). Gas probably saved me about 250 miles worth of steps this past week. Thank goodness for gas!!!!
do you come up with all this stuff, let me say there are lots of reasons to be thankful for gas, and one of them is a sign of recovery from surgery! (I am so funny)
It is a great blessing.
(Although I wish I could walk more and not rely so much on my car!!!)
I often think it's so amazing that we can drive so many places in one day! We have so many options available and are able to do whatever we want. It's glorious!
Whenever we drive to Utah, I think about how thankful I am for a car (and with it, gas). Thanks to all those men and women who have the brains to figure this stuff out!!
I thought of this as I was running around and around and around on Saturday night trying to find everything I needed to assemble the bulletin board in the RS room. I was actually embarrassed that I was using so much gas to get to Office Depot three times in one day but, after reading your post, I'm going to change my tune and just call the gas I used a blessing:)
Gas is like top ten most important things for me. No gas means no boating. No boating means no wakeboarding. No wakeboarding means I am very sad.
