A couple of days ago I was driving down the highway when a truck flipped a rock my way. It was a big enough rock that I closed my eyes and flinched when I saw it coming. It left behind a big pock-mark in the windshield and I thought, “Whoa . . . I do believe that rock had enough force if it weren’t for the windshield it would have gone through my skin, hit my heart, and stopped it. Whoa . . . I’m sure glad someone invented the windshield.”
Shielding bugs, rocks, snow, wind – windshields have a pretty hard life, but this week I remembered to be grateful for them.
How about you? What is something you normally take for granted, but that you appreciated this week?

Scary!! I have had them crack my windshield! I sure could make a "talk" out your experience...the protection of the windshield from the hurling rock reminded me right away of the protection of the Gospel (Holy Ghost, scriptures, prayer, etc.)when Satan is hurling his temptations at us. I could go on and on...lol Hugs!
I'm grateful for people who just step in and clean up after church functions. It seems so small to help, but with so many hands getting the work done, it goes so quickly! And after a really long day, I was relieved to have tables cleaned off, chairs and tables put away and the floor swept. I could handle washing the serving spoons with everything else taken care of.
That is the sort of the that inspires a spontaneous moment of gratitude!
Good hairspray. :)
Nothing can make or break a day for me than bad hair. With this crazy wind, I have been thankful for great hairspray, that keeps my hair looking good and my spirits high.
I have had that happen several times and have actually ducked inside the car.
I know I take too many things for granted, even when I think I'm not.
