(I'll bet you can guess what just happened by the look on Ande's face . . . and the relief on Zeph's. Joe captured it perfectly.) |
My week of staying with Joe and Ande's family came to an end. I had such a great time with them. I never got tired of watching Joseph (Zeph) . . . even if he was just sleeping.
Levin had a cold and Cali was worried about him being near Zeph for the first few days, so when she came to visit I took Levin on walks. It was warm and beautiful and everything was in bloom.
Calvin and I brought Levin home with us for a day or two. He makes chores much more fun. He is trying very hard to learn to be gentle with eggs, even thought it is very tempting to throw them in the bucket and see them spill open. He also helped me rake a few leaves yesterday with his own little rake. He and the wind did a nice job of scattering them. I never seem to get tired of watching Levin run, jump, climb, and play.
Calvin has been making butter. He's made several batches in the last couple of weeks. He never gets tired of homemade butter. He says it has a cow-y taste that is superior to store-bought butter.
I spoke at a multi-stake youth conference and mentioned in my talk that I love Lay's potato chips and Reese's Peanut Butter eggs. Later in the day, this young woman presented me with both. It was the sweetest gesture.
I came home from my stay with Joe and Ande's family and went into my desk at work and found a sack filled with more Lay's potato chips and Reese's Peanut Butter eggs from a student. I'm still not tired of them.
General Conference is this weekend. I always look forward to it. It's a time of rest and rejuvenation . . . and now that I'm a grown-up with grown-up thoughts and ideas and energy, I never tire of it.
How about you? What's something you never get tired of?

I never get tired of reading your posts, Miss Jane. You are the best. ;)
Lay's potato chips and Reese's eggs are two of my favorite things too!
Homemade butter sounds delicious!
I never get tired of you. I love reading your blog. It is so uplifting. I love that almost everything is enjoyable to you and that you share that with all of us. You are wonderful.
I never get tired of you either. You're a great one for conversation and encouragement. Thank you. I love your posts.
Cow-y taste? Hmmm, not too sure about that. But, I bet Calvin could turn a profit on his butter. They sell homemade looking butter at our grocery store and it's $6.99/lb!
I love Conference too. The refuel/recharge is always what I need.
