52 Blessings—Kids

Photobucket

Children have long been counted as a commodity. Formerly they were viewed as an asset (grow your own worker) or a savings account (provide your own caretaker), whereas today they are often viewed as a luxury item.

I consider our children an invaluable blessing and really like the idea that our children marry others and increase our blessings. I’m truly grateful for kids and the privilege to have them.

Aunt Jane,
So wish I could have been there! Am trying everything in my power to make it down for Abe's. Can't wait to see you all and meet all the NEW family!!!

I couldn't agree more. The real topper is that we can enjoy them so much. The new additions as well as the ones that were born to us. I too feel so very blessed.

I am grateful for my children and the joy (and lessons) they bring into my life...trying to enjoy each and every phase as it comes my way (but really looking forward to having older kids! :) ).

What a great picture! You should photoshop "flat Ty" in. Kind of like flat Stanley. I love the grow your own workers philosophy. My kids don't appreciate it yet.

Jane-the children blessing is a great one, because it's a two way street. Your children are so blessed to have you as their mother, and you receive equal blessing in return. You can both be counted lucky!

Your kids are so lucky to have you and Calvin for parents!

You said it. As hard as parenting is, and even though sometimes I feel like I let my kids down because so many others seem to do it so much better, they are my everything.

Yours are beautiful, by the way. I'm sorry your sons weren't there to complete the day.

Thanks Mom. You're a rockin Mom. I say rockin because I care.

Your picture cuts off Abe.

I love you.

I learn so much from my kids! So much. It is a privilege to have them. I hope I will love my daughters- and son-in-law!

Huh. Clever. A luxury item. I guess that's how many double-income couples see it . . . Love it!
